WELCOME

I’m glad you’re here. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to start therapy. Between finding the “right” therapist, doing the insurance dance (which some may even call a battle!), and choosing to be vulnerable with someone new, it can feel like a lot. And still, I believe it’s worth it, because I know firsthand how insightful and healing counseling can be.


I’m here because I believe deeply that humans are capable of incredible growth, resiliency, and acceptance. My goal is to help you explore the different parts of yourself (yep, even the “dark” or “unlovable” parts) so that you can begin to develop self-compassion, learn coping skills, heal past wounds, and, ultimately, work towards new patterns and outcomes.

MY CLIENTS

I work with a myriad of issues, including perfectionism, anxiety, codependency, self-esteem, life transitions, neurodivergence, identity exploration, grief, and relational/interpersonal issues. I enjoy working with clients who are curious and open to doing the work. That doesn’t mean you have to know mental health lingo or have a feelings wheel hanging in your room. It simply means you’re willing to show up, be honest, and try new things… even if they feel a little silly or uncomfortable!


Maybe a part of you even thinks counseling is “BS”, but you’re so tired of feeling how you feel that you’re willing to give it a shot. Maybe you’ve been feeling anxious, lonely, or self-critical lately. Perhaps you’re feeling suffocated by constantly taking care of everyone else’s needs while your own body is screaming for rest. Or maybe you’re just looking for help understanding what’s going on in your head, your body, your relationships, or your life.


I love working with individuals and couples to explore and bring awareness to those deeper feelings, experiences, patterns, and reactions. I love helping clients examine the ways your upbringing, family, cultural identities, traumas, and beliefs impact your here and now. I also enjoy helping clients learn coping and communication strategies for managing stress, anxiety, panic, anger, perfectionism, conflict, and relational issues.

By utilizing an evidence-based, humanistic, trauma-informed, and culturally-aware approach, I work hard to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, openness, and acceptance. I aim to create a place where you are free to show up as your truest, most complete self, so you can dive deeper, build self-awareness, and begin to feel empowered in your life.

Additionally, I will strive to empower you by identifying strengths, grounding techniques, coping skills, and communication strategies that work for you, so you can feel equipped even outside of our sessions.

MY APPROACH

I draw from several modalities, including person-centered therapy, internal family systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy (ABT), solutions-focused therapy (SFT), feminist therapy, somatic experiencing, motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based therapies, narrative therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).


If you’re thinking “I have absolutely no idea what that means”... that’s okay! Basically, my approach is curious and collaborative, organically catered to each session and moment. At times, this will look more direct and intentional, focused on examining previous experiences or traumas. Other times, this will feel playful and fun, filled with understanding, insight, and compassion. I will help create an open, authentic, and nonjudgmental space for us to explore and build awareness during our sessions.
